Greetings, family and friends!
We definitely feel this year has come to an end faster than any other! It’s hard to believe that we’re preparing to begin another year. This one was full of adventure (as usual) and many changes.
Over the summer, Spencer completed his second year of residency and began his third. This was quite the cause for celebration, because the second year is historically the worst of them all [in his and some other orthopedic programs]. He spent months and months in the famed “Pit.” But he survived and thrived! I [Meg] started CRNA/Nurse Anesthetist school this last fall. It has kept me very busy so far, especially since I am commuting to Buffalo (about an hour away). I am just so happy to be going into a profession that fascinates me and is so much fun!
This past year we tried to take as many vacations as we could to see family. We also made our way back out to the “Wild West” and scouted for places to settle down. The Front Range is looking mighty fine right about now! We visited wonderful friends and family in Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, Oklahoma, Georgia, and North Carolina (Durham). We also had some crazy adventures in Pittsburgh, South Carolina (Charleston), and the Outer Banks.
This year we even got a few holidays off. Nice for a change!
We hope this little note finds you in good health and great spirits, enjoying the holidays and your families. Know that we love and miss you all very dearly!
We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy 2011!
